A phone call from my daughter-in-law, offering us fresh lettuce and herbs from her garden took us out to their place this aft. Lo and behold, there on the road curb side were our grandkids, 11 year-old Tyson and 7 year-old Kaylie, selling lemonade and a few other little items, such as ankle bracelets, simple kid's bracelets and such that their Mom makes to sell at the Farmer's Market. Well, even though we had not brought our camera (shucks, because it certainly was a Kodak moment) didn't mean we didn't support our local economy :) Hey, it's a sunny, hot day and I had spent a lot of time in the sun this morning, so ice cold lemonade was a refreshing drink and then Grandpa opened his wallet and contributed a nice hefty tip, for which I picked out several ankle bracelets for gifts.
What better use of time for kids on summer break and bored with life....and it's a fun way to sneak in some math practice ;)
