It's been said, "You're only as old as you feel". At this junction in life, I tend to agree more with Maxine. I'm quite certain most people feel younger than they are and it's only when you have to get up off a low, soft couch, or stand from kneeling on the floor beside the couch to look under to find a pill that's rolled under it, that you are reminded that we're in denial....we are as old as we feel!! And no, that isn't a creaky floor board but your knees.

Women over fifty already form one of the largest groups in the population structure of the western world. As long as they like themselves, they will not be an oppressed minority. In order to like themselves they must reject trivialization by others of who and what they are. A grown woman should not have to masquerade as a girl in order to remain in the land of the living.

Amen! sister. I am about to be 65 and I will not allow myself to be sad a bout that. If it weren't for my fibro and arthritis, I'd think I wa 30.
